Saturday, we spent a beautiful day at the lake with our cousins.
We were the only ones there. A lake with all its surroundings to enjoy all to
ourselves. Spent the entire afternoon and left around 11:30 p.m.
Listened to the geese fly overhead. Our children played and played
and played ...it was wonderful.
They searched for buried "rock" treasures, they explored the last part
of a floating "ice" chunk , the "girls" just made endless sand "tea parties",
Ben got to use his first "air bullet" gun and shoot at targets with his daddy and
Uncle's guidance (he LOVED this), the daddy's shot their "bows" for practice, we had an amazing
campfire most of the night while watching the daddy's fish out into the lake with their waders and catch lots and lots of fish! We cheered them on. We watched the sunset. We roasted marshmellows and just enjoyed "the great outdoors" and the beautiful day indeed.
These are those kind of days to just "freeze frame" again.
p.s. thankfully Aunt P had HER camera, so we were able to capture some of these very special moments....LOL. I know that our kids wouldn't forget such a special day at the lake....it's in their hearts and memories.
