Our Island has begun!!!!!

We came home tonight to our "gathering" table/island
being started!!! Our oven and stove top is in and
is WORKING.....thanks to our amazing late night
working electrician!!!


It's going to be able to seat 6 people. It's a large
square shape with storage underneath...eventually.
Our concept was to design a large table that would
serve as a "gathering" place for game night, cooking with
the kids, homework time, baking fun, and just being
together as a family and with friends. We need to find
chairs this weekend, decide on flooring, countertops, lights
and all that costly stuff that the bank so graciously gave
to us.

This is so cute that I have to share it with you.
Our Maddie is such a social bug. She loves to see what's
going on. She is so curious and smart. She spent the whole
time next to the electrician tonight, just sitting by him and
asking questions and being so sweet to him. He also has a
daughter with the same name and same age.

him work. She was asking him about what

he was going to be doing for Thanksgiving and all

that cute stuff. I was just so so proud, I can't even

tell you.

Then, my 6 year old Ben out of the blue says to the

electrician. "So, what are your plans for the weekend?"

Both kids told him to have a happy thanksgiving and that

they will miss him. How sweet is that?
